One in every four women will experience domestic violence in her lifetime. An estimated 1.3 million women are victims of physical assault by an intimate partner each year. Please join Fashion Forty Lounge in our Pampering for a Cause Fundraiser to help raise money for the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCADV).
Pampering for a Cause
Pampering for a Cause will be an evening of Pampering, Cocktails, Desserts and Mingling. Women will get their best girlfriends and co-workers together to support this great cause. Men are also welcome. The evening will consist of a 1 hour Open Bar, Mini Manicures, Chair Massages, Mini Makeovers and Desserts. The ticket price is $45.00 which includes all of the above (excluding mini makeovers) and a complimentary gift bag. Fashion Forty will donate 50% of the proceeds to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence. We will collect additional donations at the door for those that wish to give more. The CEO of the NCADV will be present at this event giving a short overview of their charity and will have promotional material available to all.
About the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCADV)
It is the mission of NCADV to work for major societal changes necessary to eliminate both personal and societal violence against all women and children. Domestic violence is the willful intimidation, physical assault, battery, sexual assault, and/or other abusive behavior perpetrated by an intimate partner against another. It is an epidemic affecting individuals in every community, regardless of age, economic status, race, religion, nationality or educational background.
NCADV's work includes coalition building at the local, state, regional and national levels; support for the provision of community-based, non-violent alternatives - such as safe home and shelter programs - for battered women and their children; public education and technical assistance; policy development and innovative legislation
